WIC Nutritionist (Full-time)

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public health nutrition, dietetics, nutrition, home economics, or closely related field. Applicant must have 15 semester hours in foods and nutrition, including at least one course in diet therapy and one course in community nutrition. Responsibilities: PLANS/IMPLEMENTS nutritional education and counseling services provided to WIC participants. DEVELOP and IMPLEMENT plans for high-risk participants. PROVIDES nutrition education and counseling for high-risk participants and DOCUMENTS the provision according to approved format.
2. OBTAIN anthropometric measurements, DETERMINE health risks, and PROVIDE referrals for eligible clients.
3. COORDINATE nutrition and breastfeeding services, PROVIDE assistance to breastfeeding women with special problems; PROVIDE education and support to all women participants.
